Finding the perfect foundation is not easy! Flawless skin is the main part of your make-up routine.
There are so many different variations, from matte to glowing finishes, light to heavy coverage and more afforable brands to top luxury brands.
This is why I have put together my top foundations that I use on myself and clients.
1. MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 - £22
I use this foundation on myself and clients who want a more full coverage. Even though the coverage is full, it isn't cakey at all and it looks amazing on camera! People are scared of foundations with SPF in them because of flash back from the camera but with the correct setting powder and none SPF skin care this doesn't happen!
This foundation gives a beautiful glow. Team it with MAC Strobe Cream (see previous post) for the ultimate GLOW!
The NC shades have a more yellow undertone and NW shades have more pink undertones. I use NC25 on myself.
The bottle doesn't come with a pump but you can buy these seperately.
2. Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation SPF 15 - £34.00
I first got recommeded this foundation by another make-up artist and I had never heard of the brand before but when I tried it I bought every shade for my kit! This isn't as much of a full coverage as the MAC but it is still classed as full coverage. I use this on more mature skin mainly because it doesn't set in lines at all and it's non-drying. It gives a beautiful smooth finish. People with more youthful skin can also use this if they don't like complete full coverage. I use shade Neutral Beige which is for warmer skin tones. If you're unsure of your shade, let me know!
3. GIORGIO ARMANI Luminous silk foundation - £37
This is definitely a luxury product to have in your make-up bag! It goes on natural but you can build it up to full coverage without it being cakey which is perfect for brides!
It has a beautiful silk feel to it and glides on without setting in fine lines. This foundation looks gorgeous on pictures because it gives such a flawless finish. If you don't want to use this everyday then it's nice to save for special occassions to step up your make-up routine. I am shade 3.
4. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation - £10.99
This is my favourite 'on a budget' foundation at the moment! The texture is smooth and creamy and blends like a dream to give a healthy and natural complexion. It's hypoallergenic so it's perfect for sensitive skin. It has medium coverage but you can build it to a more full coverage. The finish is quite matte. I would definitely recommend this to someone who doesn't want to spend a lot on foundation!
My shade is Beige Fonce.
Which foundation would you recommend me to try that you love?!
