Photo shoot with Lyndsay Roberts

March 3, 2016

I did a bridal inspired photo shoot with Photographer Lyndsay Roberts. I had so much fun doing this shoot and I got a chance to do a more dramatic look!

Here is a behind the scenes picture where model, Emma, has her hair in pin curls whilst having her make-up done.

 Finishing touches to the make-up

I was so pleased with the final photos! Emma was a natural!

Natural but effective make-up for the camera

Products used

I prepped the skin with Liz Earle moisturiser for normal skin followed by an Arbonne primer. Moisturiser and primer are essential for prepping the skin so the make-up is applied evenly and it then stays on all day!

After that,  I added Benefit Erase Paste to the eyelids to act as a primer for the eyeshadow. This prevents creasing and keeps the eyeshadow on all day. I haven't found a better eyeshadow primer, Erase Paste has always been the best in my opinion!

The eyeshadows used were from Urban Decay Naked 2 and 3. These pallets are perfect for all kinds of looks from natural to more dramatic.

I then used Loreal liquid eyeliner pen to outline the upper lid and then I set the liner with a black eyeshadow.

False eyelashes always finish off the eyes so I used Red Cherry lashes in number 43 (my fave!)

I always do the eyes first! So after I was happy with the eyes I moved onto the face and applied Nars foundation followed by Maybelline Under Eye Eraser (Better than the high end brands such as Touche Éclat by YSL!)

I always set make-up with a translucent setting powder. For this look I used Arbonne setting powder because it gives a gorgeous glow with the slight hint of shimmer in it.

Contour and highlighting is a must for high cheekbones! I used MAC Dark Tan mineralise bronzing powder on this look followed by MAC Fleur Power blusher.

For highlighter I used Benefit High Beam mixed with Arbonne sheer highlighter. A lot of highlighter is needed for photoshoots so the camera can really pick it up.

For brows I used the Sleek brow pallete in dark, which is an exact dupe for the Benefit Brow Zing kit.

I used a MAC red/pink lip liner and lipstick but changed half way through to an Arbonne lipgloss in Primrose, I use this lipgloss for my everyday look!

For the hair I pin curled it all and added a bun ring and worked the curls around it for a 'messy' up do look.
